Now what's the point in having two videos with the same content? Here it is why:

Each time I was uploading a new portrait clip (vertical orientation), I let my subscribers know, and the Shorts to be shown on the YouTube's Shorts Feed... but I did not like how the Shorts Links were looking on my social media. So I've decided to create landscape videos... that looked better in my opinion, but I was careful to uncheck the "Notify subscribers" feature, wouldn't want to annoy them with this "doubled content".

First, I let the videos in landscape orientation "unlisted", then I've decided to make them "public". After a few days I checked them, and to my surprise, the videos were getting many views and the Shorts just a few.

I searched the web for some answers. Here's what I found: my subscribers aren't active at all, they don't click on my new "launches", and if they do, it's only to open them for courtesy. Two behaviors that YouTube's algorithm took it as these Shorts "are not so interesting", so decided not to show them in Feed. And most probably, my videos got views as a result of searches, therefore people who were looking for something specific had the interest and patience to watch them, if not all, then at least more than a half or so.

Bottom line:

I don't let my subscribers to be notified anymore,

and I'll keep creating more videos in landscape orientation, and less Shorts and/or vertical orientation ones.
